End of the Year Final Notes!

ICK!, Eboard Elections, & Cornell Visit

ICK! 2013
A big THANK YOU to everyone that came to help out with ICK! this past Saturday! We welcomed over 100 kids in grades 1 -5, and brought in over $2000 for next year! The day was a HUGE success and we couldn't have done it without you :)

Eboard Elections
Come to the Watson Commons on Monday, April 22 to elect the new Eboard for the Fall 2013 - Spring 2014 school year. Pizza will be served!

Cornell Visit
There is still time to register for the Cornell BME visit on Friday, April 26 from 8:30am - 4pm. Learn more about the Department on Cornell's website here. Interested students can sign up here.

ICK! & Scheduling Fest

Scheduling Fest!
Don't know what to take next year? Come to BBE's second bi-annual Scheduling Fest on Monday, April 15 at 5PM in the Watson Commons. We'll have pizza for everyone as incentive to attend :)

ICK! Volunteers & Training
We're still looking for students to help out at ICK! (the 7th Annual Bioengineering Fair). Interested students can sign up here. Training for the event will be on Tuesday, April 16 & Wednesday, April 17 at 7pm in the Senior Design Lab (EB-D2). We try to place volunteers at the stations that they most prefer, so I ask that you please check your station preferences here by Sunday, April 14 at 5PM.

General Body Meeting

BBE will be having a GBM on Monday, April 8 at 5PM in the K1 Conference Room (in the Engineering Building). We'll be discussing upcoming events and the stations for ICK! Hope to see you there!

Nunan Lecture

Come join BBE as we head to Syracuse University on Friday, April 5 to hear from distinguished staff and faculty about regenerative and rehabilitative engineering. Lunch will be provided. Time to be determined. (Plan for around 8am - 4pm). Interested students can sign up here.

What to do with a BE Degree

Curious about what there is to do after you graduate? Come to BBE's What to do with a BE Degree workshop on Monday, March 18 at 5pm in UU-103 to hear from current faculty and industry reps about how they got to where they are and the opportunities that BE grads have.

Make Cards with BBE

Come to the Watson Commons on Monday, March 11 at 5pm to make appreciation cards for the BE Faculty and Staff. This meeting will also serve as a GBM, so be sure to stop by to learn about upcoming events!

Back of the Envelope Event with Dr.McLeod

How much would it cost to wash all of the windows in Seattle? Just how many ping pong balls can fit in an office? Learn how to answer these Google-interview type questions at BBE's 2nd annual Back of the Envelope Session on Monday, March 4 at 5pm in UU-108. Professor McLeod will be discussing what a BoE is and why it's important during this event. Hope to see you there!

Networking Session with Epic

Epic Systems, located in Madison, WI, is the leading healthcare software company in the US. BBE will be having a friendly networking lunch with Ashlee Yilmaz, an alum from BU that works as a Technical Services Representative at Epic, on Wednesday, February 27 at 1PM in the Watson Commons. Pizza and soda will be served.

Graduate Student Panel

BBE will be hosting a Graduate Student Panel on Monday, February 25 at 5PM in UU-103. Come learn about what current Binghamton University Graduate students are doing, how they got to where they are, and gain valuable insight into grad school. Wegmans subs, soda, and chips will be served. Hope to see you there!
